On June 23, 2021 the John D. McKean left Stony Point, NY where it had been docked at Panco Petroleum Co. throughout the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-21. The historic fireboat arrived at Pier 25 in Tribeca where it will open up for visitors in July 2021. The boat will stay at Pier 25 through October to honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
